Salary Range: $108,207.64 – $146,080.32 Annually

The City of Albany Fire Department invites experienced and motivated fire service professionals to apply for the position of Training Division Chief. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the Department’s training, safety, and professional development programs while making a direct impact on the readiness of our personnel and the safety of the community we serve.

The Training Division Chief provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all emergency services training, oversees the Department’s health and safety program, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal standards. This position plays a critical role in advancing the Department’s mission to Prevent and Protect From Harm by promoting risk reduction, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous learning and accountability.

As a key member of the Fire Department’s leadership team, the Training Division Chief collaborates across divisions and with external partners to strengthen emergency response capabilities, support safe operations, and uphold the City of Albany’s commitment to exceptional public service.
