Required Occupational Qualifications:
• Minimum age for this position is 18 years
• A minimum of a high school education or its equivalent
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Washington State EMT certification or NREMT (minimum)
• CPAT (dated within 1 year of application) or agency equivalent
• IFSAC/Pro-Board Firefighter I certification
• IFSAC/Pro-Board Haz Mat Ops certification
Spokane County Fire District 10 operates five fire stations, protecting approximately 100 square miles and serving 10,000 residents and 35,000 daily commuters, with active automatic-aid agreements with neighboring agencies.
In 2025, Spokane County Fire District 10 firefighters responded to over 1,800 emergency calls, with approximately 60% involving emergency medical services. We manage an annual budget exceeding $5.5 million.
