The Office of the Provost invites applications for a Program Manager to oversee operations related to academic policy, course evaluations, faculty activity reporting, faculty evaluations, and the faculty sabbatical process. The role manages projects end-to-end, including planning, implementation, communication, and coordination with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with timelines and requirements.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

- Administer faculty processes outlined in collective bargaining agreements.
- Serve as the primary administrator and strategic lead for Interfolio.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to faculty and academic leadership.
- Support Office of the Provost initiatives, recruitments, events, and special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
-
- High School diploma and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent project management, planning, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across academic and administrative units.
- Ability to design and lead events, communications, and projects that advance the visibility and values of the Office of the Provost.
- Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution, critical analysis, and sound judgment in complex situations.
- Strong team orientation, professionalism, discretion, accountability, and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and demonstrated curiosity in using generative AI to improve processes and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of UM structure and protocols
- A degree in business, communication, education or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience in higher education or a similar work environment.

Compensation Title: Program Manager I
Union: *This position is not represented by a bargaining unit (union). *
Work Schedule:Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year. Probationary Period:Six (6) months minimum
