The Montana Repertory Theatre invites applications for a Program Manager to serve as the primary administrative support and lead communications liaison for Montana Repertory Theatre. Montana Rep is the professional theatre-in-residence at the University of Montana. Funding for this position is secured through January 2027 with the possibility of extension contingent on additional funding.
This position acts as the first point of contact for all Montana Rep communications. The Program Manager receives and directs all initial phone calls, emails, and general inquiries, ensuring they are routed to the appropriate individuals.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

- Coordinate communications, scheduling, and front-office operations for Montana Repertory Theatre.
- Prepare correspondence, materials, and manage electronic files.
- Oversee housing and hospitality for guest artists and technicians.
- Hire and supervise student assistants and manage volunteers for events.
- Support local and in-state casting, including scheduling and proctoring auditions.
- Manage box office operations for online and phone sales.
- Lead educational outreach and programming initiatives.
- Oversee financial processes and support fundraising and donor coordination.
Minimum Qualifications

- High School diploma (or equivalency) and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with personal computers, related word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Office Suite), internet and email.
- Ability to use standard office equipment: copiers, fax machine, multi-line phone system.
- Basic knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; with the ability to compose, proofread and edit materials with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to work effectively and communicate with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, donors, the general public and diverse groups.
- Ability to work on projects independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), hours will vary.
