The Dean’s Office at Missoula College invites applications for a Business Manager. The Dean’s Office has oversight in the following areas: Human Resources, Finance, Classroom Scheduling, Academic Course Scheduling, Community Communications and Public Relations, Compliance, Grants and Contracts, Advising and Retention, Academic Computing, and Administrative travel.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide front-line business services support to students including interpretation of account information and receipt of payments.
- Manage fiscal activity related to accounts receivable and payable functions.
- Serve as Procard Manager.
- Ensure compliance with UM travel policies.
- Interpret and communicate financial information to various customers and organizations.
- Provide oversight of Dean’s Office budgets.
- Oversee fiscal activity related to student/staff/faculty printing processes.
- Coordination of non-credit, self-support training classes.
- Oversee Accounts Payable function of college.
- Supervise an Administrative Associate position.
Minimum Qualifications
-
- High School diploma and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to learn UM and State laws, processes, policies, and financial systems including Banner.
- Knowledge of proper cash handling policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting information.
- Knowledge of FASB and GASB accounting standards.
- Demonstrated organizational, time and project management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, while paying attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and display leadership abilities.
- Understanding of good business practices including internal control principles.
- Knowledge of resources and programs available to UM students, particularly UM offices of Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Curry Health Center, Disability Student Services, Residence Life, Public Safety, and Dean of Students.
- Ability to represent Missoula College and UM in a positive and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a two-year college and /or university setting.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of University travel, contract, and purchasing policies and procedures, including capital equipment purchasing.

Compensation Title: Budget Analyst II
Work Schedule:Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.
Probationary Period:Six (6) months minimum
