The Institute for Tourism & Recreation Research (ITRR) within the W.A. Franke College of Forestry is looking to hire multiple part-time Visitor Surveyors.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing initiation of discussion with both nonresidents and Montana residents about their travel experiences

  • Surveying nonresidents at airports and collecting proportion counts of passengers boarding flights as well as collecting highway proportion counts (in applicable areas)

  • Recording data into a software system for research purposes

  • Transcribing and uploading the data at the end of each shift

  • Coordinate the mailing of proportion counts to ITRR on a bi-weekly basis

  • Writing, analyzing, and providing a twice-weekly status report of activities to ITRR supervisor

  • Tracking and submitting hours worked and miles traveled via e-mail

  • Working independently with little direct supervision

  • Attending Meetings with Tourism Partners in various travel regions across the state to collaborate on the creation of survey development

Additional Information

Position is part-time, 0.475 FTE, Letter of Appointment Contract and includes Pro-rated annual and sick leave.
