Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, UI Foundation, this role develops and executes communications and marketing plans that strengthen awareness, engagement and support for organizational priorities. This role combines project management, producing creative content, digital marketing and storytelling to connect with and inspire a variety of audiences.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Two years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations or a related discipline
  • Experience developing and executing marketing plans that engage audiences across multiple platforms and media
  • Experience creating, producing and editing written, visual and digital content, including photos, video and graphics
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs
  • Experience managing social media accounts and tracking performance for a business, organization or product(s)
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
  • Ability to work non-standard business hours and weekends as needed
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles
  • Ability to travel occasionally
Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising or journalism
  • Experience working in communications for higher education, nonprofit or advancement units
  • Experience with paid social media ads and digital marketing
  • Proficiency using content management systems and collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and community partners while working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use social media management tools for planning, scheduling and performance analytics
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • May need to work outside at certain on-location events in different types of weather conditions.
