Posting Context Statement
The University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene (UICDA) Transfer Recruiter supports the Vandal Transfer Advantage North Idaho College (NIC) Pilot project by leading efforts to grow transfer enrollment from North Idaho College to UICDA, Moscow-based programs and online degree pathways. Reporting to the UICDA CEO or delegate, this position maintains a consistent presence on the NIC campus and partners with Strategic Enrollment Management and academic units to implement data-informed recruitment, outreach and pathway development strategies that drive transfer enrollment growth, improve student outcomes and strengthen regional partnerships in North Idaho.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the UICDA CEO or delegate, the Transfer Recruiter is responsible for increasing transfer enrollment to the University of Idaho, with a primary focus on strengthening the transfer student pipeline from NIC to UICDA, Moscow-based programs and online degree pathways.

This position works collaboratively with Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) recruiters, college recruitment directors, academic units and advising partners to identify, recruit and support prospective transfer students. The Transfer Recruiter provides coordinated outreach on the NIC campus and serves as a primary point of contact for transfer students from inquiry through enrollment.

The Transfer Recruiter maintains a visible University of Idaho presence on NIC’s campus, develops and sustains relationships with NIC and other community education partners, and implements recruitment strategies that support transfer enrollment growth, student persistence and clearly defined academic pathways. This role directly contributes to university-wide enrollment goals, improved transfer outcomes and strengthened institutional partnerships in North Idaho.

This is a temporary position aligned with the Vandal Transfer Advantage NIC Pilot project. The position may be continued beyond the initial period if additional funding becomes available.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Two years of experience in student recruitment, transfer advising, student success, sales, or customer service
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s in higher education, student affairs, communications or a related field
  • Higher Education experience
  • Using data to inform recruitment strategies and assess enrollment and student success outcomes
  • Familiarity with North Idaho College programs, University of Idaho degree requirements and transfer policies
  • Experience using CRM systems, digital communication platforms and social media for recruitment and engagement
  • Knowledge of regional higher education trends and transfer pathways
  • Experience coordinating recruitment events, outreach initiatives or student engagement programs
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic and outcome-driven approach to transfer recruitment and enrollment growth
  • Strong organizational, project management and follow-up skills
  • Ability to contribute to transfer enrollment growth by generating and nurturing high-intent prospective transfer leads through a data-informed approach
  • Commitment to student success and engagement
  • Ability to build and sustain effective collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
