| Position Overview | Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Animal Research Facility Manager, the Animal Care Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational abilities of the facility; maintain daily logs on all research animals; maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; assist in the daily care, husbandry care, and minor medical treatment of research animals; comply with all relevant animal research laws and regulations as well as institutional policies; communicate regularly with and provide assistance and technical instruction to staff, students, and faculty as needed. Will be required to work Friday-Tuesday some holidays, or in the event of an emergency and/or University closure. |
