Posting Context Statement
Position Overview
Located within the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), this position provides hands-on operational management, technical production support, and advanced troubleshooting for the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) and instructional technologies.

The role focuses on ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the LMS environment, supporting faculty course lifecycles, resolving technical issues, and assisting with course setup and delivery. This position works closely with faculty, instructional designers, and campus partners to ensure reliable and effective use of instructional technologies.

The position also contributes to instructional technology implementation and provides practical consultation to faculty during course development and delivery.

This position may be eligible for remote work arrangements, subject to institutional approval and operational needs.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Two years of higher education LMS administration support experience
  • Administering or supporting learning management systems
  • Developing user support documentation
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Composing, proofing and editing a variety of business documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Network and Systems Administration and two additional years of LMS administration experience in higher education may substitute for Bachelor’s degree
Required Other
  • Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excel skills for data tracking, reporting, and analysis
Additional Preferred
  • Experience supporting LMS integrations and instructional technologies
  • Experience working directly with faculty in instructional technology or academic support roles
  • Experience supporting accessibility and usability in online learning environments
  • Experience with APIs or basic scripting
  • Experience using support ticketing systems
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and customer-service skills
