Position Responsibilities
| Position Summary | The University of Idaho Extension, Northern District, is seeking a 12-month tenure-track position for an Assistant or Associate Professor, Area Extension Educator, Forestry. Extension and Outreach (80%) includes collaborating with clientele to address priority needs through research-based education, training, and consultation. Faculty develop and deliver non-credit programs, create educational materials, conduct demonstrations and field days, manage volunteers, and use mass and social media for outreach. Scholarship (15%) involves applied research and innovation to identify key issues, enhance programs, and share results for community impact. University Service and Leadership (5%) includes contributing to university governance, professional service, and collaborative initiatives that support the institution’s mission. Rank will be negotiated based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in department and college bylaws. |
