Posting Context Statement | Campus Services oversees over 2,000 beds in the residence halls and apartment communities, three separate dining locations and four multi-use facilities across campus, the Assistant Director ensures the over 2,000,000 sq/ft of space stewarded by Campus Services are well maintained to provide the best service to the campus community. The Assistant Director is a highly visible member of the Campus Services team, working collaboratively with other Auxiliary Services units as needed. |
Position Overview | The Assistant Director – Maintenance & Custodial Operations is part of the Multi-Use Facilities team and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and custodial needs for Campus Services, which includes all Multi-Use, Housing and Dining Facilities. This position directly supervises the maintenance and custodial supervisors and ensures the scheduling, coordination and timely completion of all work orders in Campus Service facilities. When a maintenance request is not able to be fulfilled by the internal Campus Services maintenance and custodial team, this position coordinates with central university facilities or outside contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions. In addition to overseeing the daily maintenance needs for Campus Services, this role will work closely with Architectural & Engineering Services on all capital projects for Campus Services. |
