Posting Context Statement | This position will facilitate collaboration among landowners, agencies, scientists, and local stakeholders in developing actionable plans and implementing place-based wildfire adaptation strategies among various human populations in Idaho. As a partnership between the College of Natural Resources and the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL), this position will explore opportunities and challenges surrounding fire adaptation, advance collaborative strategies or foci surrounding fire adaptation among various human populations, and help advance IDL initiatives to increase pre- and post-wildfire management capacity. Position will be stationed in North Idaho, with flexibility provided to the successful candidate in conjunction with supervisors. |
Position Overview | This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management. Duties may include:
