Serves as the Finance Process Manager, SSC in a broad operational management role, reporting to the SSC Director, and is a member of the SSC leadership team, working along with fellow process leads to achieve our vision. Leads the design and delivery of the end-to-end accounting process and operations within the SSC organization, including leading a team of professionals in delivering high quality, innovative services to the global business (US and Japan). Responsible for the global AP, Payroll, AR, Recon, Admin, or GL governance structure and identifying key stakeholders. Accountable for establishing policies & procedures, and ensuring adherence to the same at all times, where they pertain to regulatory and organizational compliance. Runs the day-to-day operations as it relates to his/her respective process. Oversees the execution of requirements gathering & business process improvement, creating efficiencies and driving results through innovative solutions with a focus on standardization and improved governance. Accountable for carrying out process measurement through business analytics and KPIs, knowledge transfer, as well as process adoption through change management. The global nature of the role mandates implementation of standards and efficient methods of working across MCCS Finance functions. Prioritizes leading and developing his/her team to foster a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused culture, providing leadership and sponsorship of change management with internal and external stakeholders to drive change, efficiencies and innovation. Further objectives include supporting the SSC Director by driving alignment of individual initiatives to strategic objectives, cost effectiveness, minimizing risk to business / operations continuity, ensuring adoption and realization of identified improvement opportunities in a timely manner. In addition, this individual will actively participate in decision making and strategy implementation across MCCS. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Design and validate the Future State AP, Payroll, AR, Recons, Admin, or GL process Direct overall operations within the respective function Set up global process governance structure and identify key stakeholders Run day-to-day process activities at the SSC Ensure alignment of IT with AP, Payroll, AR, Recons, Admin, or GL strategy Support the SSC director in requirements gathering & technology enablement Aid in negotiation of the SSC¿s service level metrics Design appropriate metrics and KPIs for the AP, Payroll, AR, Recons, Admin, or GL functions Design controls for the AP, Payroll, AR, Recons, Admins, or GL process Benchmark respective process costs on a regular basis to identify potential performance improvement/ cost reduction opportunities Report on performance against performance/quality standards defined in service level metrics, and KPIs Report on performance against budget to SSC Director Supervises full performance level employees directly and indirectly to include: assigning, distributing, evaluating work; coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, recommending and completing performance reviews, recommending and administering discipline, recommending and administering incentive awards, signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment, being alert to alcohol/drug abuse to take appropriate action, serving as final authority for SSC level human resources controversies, being responsive to human capital strategic plans, succession management initiatives, and civilian leader development. Ensures implementation of an activity safety program for SSC employees that includes regular safety meetings; training of employees on available safety regulations, instructions, materials and equipment; reporting workplace accidents to the Human Resources Office, compliance with OSHA standards and correction of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Ensures employees understand safety infractions that can result in disciplinary actions and follows through with appropriate action to correct situations. Ensures minimal loss of duty by complying with 'Return to Work' program initiatives and following up on employee wellbeing. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. May travel to complete work assignments and conduct or attend conferences and meetings. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours. Performs other duties as assigned.Key Requirements
