Tree Preservation Technician

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Tree Preservation Technician to our passionate team of tree care professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• You will assist the crew leader and work in tandem with other crew members.
• Performing all aspects of tree preservation and land restoration safely and skillfully for clients Including but not limited to:
  • Install tree preservation measures – tree protection fence, root protection and root aeration matting, soil excavation, root pruning etc.
  • Invasive species removal/management, and restoration planting
  • General tree care – removal, clearance/deadwood pruning, stump grinding etc.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including air tools, chainsaws, chippers, etc.
• Be part of the most progressive greenspace stewardship team in the industry!

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to operate, clean and maintain various vehicles, equipment and power tools
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Preferred but not required: Construction/Landscape work experience
• Preferred but not required: Relevant licenses and certificates (pesticide, OSHA etc.)
