Position Overview

The CLS Landscape Technician is responsible for the maintenance, care, and enhancement of client turf and grounds landscape projects and services, working with various tools and equipment to ensure landscapes and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your green career with us!
• Learn to properly plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, and so much more.
• Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate equipment
• Maintenance of commercial properties, including mowing of turf, string trimming, and spraying of weed control.
• Operation of maintenance equipment, such as mowers, Bobcats, trucks, and trailers.

Qualifications

Skills We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology, and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
• Ability to complete the Davey Landscape career development books upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• 1+ years of experience, in the Landscape industry, preferred .
• Experience with lawn mowing equipment, and 2 Cycle equipment preferred.
• Experience in Landscape Maintenance preferred.
