Wage Range Salary: $27.05 - $34.95

Essential Functions:

  • Processes invoices; Legislative Action Committee (LAC) request management; and development of small grant applications Assists with logistics activities, including coordinating travel, placing orders, and processing payments for grants management and engineering staff. drafting monthly grants newsletter and year-end donor correspondence.
  • Supports and assists, implementation of program initiatives, as well as compliance and reporting
  • Enters and maintains relevant data in the grants management
  • Networks and maintains relationships with Federal, State, local, and private funders and other strategic partners for the purpose of remaining current on the eligibility requirements and availability of funding for the Grand Ronde Tribe.
  • Adheres to Grant Program Policies and
  • Coordinates with tribal planning staff in researching statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy, including performing research and data gathering – both from external sources and tribal data.
  • Supports submission of and assists with grant proposals/reports that support tribal goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria.
  • Supports the development of proposals/letters of intent, grant application narratives, and
  • Supports and assists grant kick-off and progress meetings with Department Managers and designated staff to provide grant terms, conditions, obligations, reporting requirements, and agency overview.
  • Supports and assists Department Managers and designated staff in implementing capital fundraising efforts to achieve authorized initiative and project goals.
  • Works with Department Managers and designated staff on respective grant compliance and reporting including outcome measurement, grant budgets, and identifying when to initiate reimbursements and drawdowns as needed.
  • Monitors and tracks funder and investor funding cycles, reporting schedules, and
  • Maintains regular communication process with Department Managers, Finance Department, and Executive Staff to explore funding opportunities and monitor status of grants.
  • Maintains a library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms and associated documents, etc.
  • Performs grant review and audit of tribal programs and projects as it relates to grants
  • Researches Federal, State, local, and private funding sources and foundations and maintains a funding source directory for funding needs of the Tribe.
  • Prepares outline of annual planned activities for grant applications and existing grants and works with Department Managers to outline work plans.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

  • Requires an Associates Degree and two (2) years of experience supporting grant related activities or project Tribal Grant experience preferred.

Driving Requirements:

Qualifications, Registrations, and Certifications:

  • Skills in complex financial analysis, budget preparation and monitoring,
  • Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of Tribal purposes, organizations, policies and procedures, and sensitivity to Native American culture
  • Requires knowledge of principles, practices and methods of public and business administration with special reference to project management, organization, general fiscal management and budgetary planning, preparation and control, and general construction management.
  • Requires the ability to effectively communicate with elected officials, colleagues, employees, community members, state and federal agency staff members, and with funding source representatives through written, oral and face to face interactions.
  • Requires the ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents required.

  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture required.
