GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Perform Executive Assistant and secretary duties for the State Banking Commissioner and Division of Banking employees. Act as the first point of contact for all inquiries to the Division of Banking. Act as official secretary to the State Banking Board.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.

  • Point of contact for phone calls and emails to the Division of Banking.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Process and make travel arrangements and process travel expense vouchers for all Division employees.
  • Record and process all fees paid to the Division using internal coding.
  • Act as Executive Secretary for the State Banking board which includes scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, taking meeting minutes when necessary, and providing information to Board members.
  • Assist licensing staff in preparing new license documents.

Qualifications


KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Knowledge of State travel and expense voucher forms and processes.
  • Must have a technological knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Google Suite products, and the ability to learn internal technology systems.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Business)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist I
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist I

None

Necessary Special Requirements


PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
  • May travel occasionally to attend training and conferences.
  • This position requires the completion of a criminal background check.
