GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill a seasonal Administrative Assistant position with the Trails program and Shoshone District. This position will provide critical administrative support to our staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional visitor service.
$16-18/hr.
40 hrs./week
9-month term
Stationed at Lander Trails office
Provide administrative support to district staff, including scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing travel arrangements.
Answer phones and emails in a courteous and professional manner, directing inquiries and concerns appropriately.
Review and process paperwork, including purchasing card reports, travel vouchers, applications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist with data entry and maintain accurate park records in a digital database.
Compile reports and create documents using office software (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred).
Maintain office supplies and equipment, ordering and restocking as needed.
Provide customer service to visitors, answering questions, offering assistance, and issuing permits where applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Shoshone District Manager.
Qualifications

PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional attitude.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Some travel within the Shoshone District (Rawlins, South Pass City, Evanston, Fort Bridger) may be required.
NOTES:
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- This is an hourly position. We pay on the last working day of the month.
- Housing is not provided.
- You are eligible for Insurance Benefits on the first day of your fourth month of employment.
