We are seeking an Operations and Data Support Analyst to join our Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities at the Oregon Department of Education. This is a permanent position represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
This position follows a hybrid work model. Onsite presence will be required when business or operational needs are best supported in person, such as collaboration, training, or work that requires access to onsite resources. Employees approved to work remotely must have a reliable and secure internet connection and maintain a professional work environment that supports productivity. While working remotely, employees are expected to maintain the same level of performance, responsiveness, communication, and availability as they would in the office.
What you will do!
Provide foundational operational and analytical support to the Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities at the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). This role focuses on improving office efficiency by developing and maintaining organizational tools, such as Smartsheet dashboards, surveys, and SharePoint sites, that enhance data access and reporting. The position also assists in coordinating advisory group activities, supporting process improvements, and ensuring the consistent design and organization of office materials, including manuals and reports. This position applies existing guidelines and standard analytical methods to identify challenges and recommend solutions within the Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities (OESO). Work is guided by established policies, and findings are based on readily available information, review of operational records, and research of precedents. The position focuses on improving processes within OESO.

Typical duties include:
Managing organizational tools and workflow support.
Supporting data, reporting, and information access.

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification

Experience using organizational and data tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint, PowerBI or similar systems) to support tracking, reporting, and documentation.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in compiling data, maintaining records, and producing accurate, well‑organized materials and reports.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
