The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is the backbone of Oregon state government. We make sure agencies have the resources they need—financial, human, and technological—to serve communities across the state.

We’re looking for a motivated, solutions‑driven leader to supervise our Mail & Delivery Unit. This team handles federal mail, secure document delivery, shipping/receiving, route coordination, and customer support for dozens of state agencies throughout the Willamette Valley. If you enjoy leading people, improving operations, and serving a broad customer base, this is a role where you can truly make an impact.

What You’ll Do

As the Mail & Delivery Unit Supervisor, you’ll:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate your team while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

  • Plan, assign, and adjust daily workflows to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

  • Build strong working relationships with customer agencies and respond to service needs with professionalism and clarity.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and audit requirements for handling confidential and secure materials.

  • Oversee route coordination, equipment upkeep, vehicle management, and operational performance metrics.

  • Manage quality control, billing, and program reporting processes.

  • Coordinate budgeting, procurement, and inventory management.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience;

OR

One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience must include: Coordinating high volume operational, logistics, mail service, warehouse, delivery, or similar service environments.

  • Experience preparing or reviewing reports, performance metrics, or quality control documentation.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial management, including forecasting and billing

Additional Details

  • This recruitment is for one permanent, full-time Business Operations Supervisor 2 (management service – supervisory) position, and may be used to fill future vacancies.

  • Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides.

  • *The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
