A day in the life:
Develop and execute long-term modernization strategies aligned with divisional goals, including rolling five year IT system plans and business application roadmaps.
Manage cross functional program portfolios, balancing priorities and resources across business units, technical teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery of modernization initiatives.
Direct business and system analyses to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities and inform budgetary and modernization decisions.
Prepare and administer biennial and annual budget estimates for modernization efforts, ensuring financial compliance and resource alignment.
Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection and implement prioritization framework to support strategic objectives and agency-wide alignment.
Direct the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance data collection, compliance monitoring and operational efficiency.
Monitor modernization efforts for compliance with federal and state regulations, including transportation safety, data privacy and financial reporting.
Supervise and mentor staff. Oversee recruitment efforts and workforce planning and promote a collaborative, performance-based work environment.
Serve as a key representative in agency councils, data governance teams and technology steering committees to advocate for divisional interests.
This position is eligible for hybrid work 2 days per week. Some travel is required.

Comprehensive and equitable base salary offer within the listed range. Through an equal pay assessment, we will determine the salary offer using the information you provide in your submitted application materials. The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Minimum qualifications:
Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience in business operations.
OR
Four years of related experience in business operations and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
