Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.
We are hiring for one full-time, permanent position located in La Grande, Oregon.
What you will do:
You will be tasked with operating and overseeing the operation of fish transportation vehicles, tankers, and fish life support systems to release or transfer fish in Northeast Oregon. This will involve transporting various sizes and species of fish from state or federal hatcheries to lakes, streams, or hatchery ponds at specific timing to maximize angler success and adult salmon and steelhead returns and fish growth.
This position requires the successful candidate to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), within 6 months of hire.
What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Desired Attributes:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Commercial vehicle operation and maintenance

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
