Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! - Electronic Security Technician 2

As the Electronic Security Technician 2, you will support the Oregon State Hospital with the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex hospital security systems and life safety systems within the Oregon State hospital to ensure hospital systems are functional 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The position will ensure the Salem and Junction City hospital campuses computer-controlled security systems, including security, fire, electrical, heating, and other facility support systems are running efficiently and consistently to support a safe and secure environment for OSH patients and staff. This position will conduct major systems asset alteration, replacement, and modernization to maintain compliance with regulatory changes and safety needs.

Hours: Monday-Friday 0630-1500

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.

Possession of a current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) electrical license or appropriate limited journeyman electrician’s license for work assigned (e.g., LEA, LEB) issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division AND six years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems.
OR
A General Journeyman Electrician license AND six years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems.

  • Experience in system oversight and maintenance of complex hospital security systems, including installation, maintenance, alteration, repair and testing

  • Experience working around energized electrical equipment.

  • Experience operating power tools and boom truck.

  • Experience working in a secured environment.

  • Experience working with installation and programming of security cameras.

Special Requirements: To be hired, you must have a criminal records and driving records check that meets OHA criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment.

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%. Review the Classification and Compensation page for more details on the classification.
