Summary of Duties
As a Business Operations Specialist, you will:
Update business procedures and suggest changes to management to keep the business compliant and trustworthy.
Lead and mentor support staff in the main office and other district offices by providing coaching, mentoring, and training based on their needs.
Conduct security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with DHS rules and policies and recommend corrective actions.
Manage office resources by overseeing the ordering and inventory of documents, supplies, equipment, and furniture.
Provide feedback to management, suggest improvements, and help monitor and evaluate business functions.
Be the primary financial support for the office and assist other district offices with financial needs as required.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes:
coordinating office procedures,
preparing narrative and statistical reports,
and administrative data collection and analysis; OR
-
An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes:
coordinating office procedures,
preparing narrative and statistical reports,
and administrative data collection and analysis; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions
Work will be conducted in offices and other community sites.
Occasional travel is required for traveling to other district offices and providing support.
Employee’s work schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm PT; hours may fluctuate based on service needs.
May work with individuals experiencing trauma or crisis. Some individuals may have challenges managing their emotions.
May encounter situations requiring quick decision-making to ensure the safety of oneself or others.
