In this senior policy and project leadership role, you’ll work directly with the Governor’s Office, agency leaders, and statewide partners to turn bold ideas into real results.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead enterprise-wide strategic projects from concept to completion, managing scope, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time, impactful results.

  • Serve as a trusted policy advisor, recommending and implementing changes that improve operations across state government.

  • Coordinate with diverse partners, including the Governor’s Office, Legislature, agency leaders, and community partners, to align efforts and achieve statewide priorities.

  • Drive accountability initiatives by tracking progress, resolving roadblocks, and reporting results to leadership.

  • Facilitate collaboration and communication, from leading listening sessions to presenting at high-level meetings.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work*.

OR;

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of *experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

*Relevant experience must include strategic project management, policy development, organizational change, or enterprise-level program coordination.

  • Communication Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present complex or technical information to diverse audiences in a way that is understandable and persuasive.

  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across divisions and with leadership, legislators, community partners, and other partners to achieve shared goals.

  • Analytical and Data Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to inform decisions, measure outcomes, and monitor progress, including experience with automated data systems, dashboards, and tracking tools.
