As an Information Systems Specialist 3 – Service Desk Technician in Salem, Oregon, you will provide technical support, diagnostic help and operating instruction for users of microcomputers and data communications networked hardware and systems software.
The work of this position directly assists the agency's Technical Services Supervisor to analyze, design and implement most facets of the Department's data communications systems hardware and networking systems software including systems Management of agency IT inventory records.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of information systems experience providing help desk support
- OR -
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field,
- OR -
Completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field.
Desired Attributes
Technical experience with microcomputer and data communications hardware and systems software, networks, printers, modems and peripherals
Experience with all major aspects of computer operations including hardware, software, system administration, telecommunications, systems integration, connectivity and networking
Experience training people having varying levels of microcomputer experience
Customer service experience using follow up procedures

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%
