Opportunity awaits! Are you ready to elevate your career? We’re seeking a dynamic Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Operations (Business Operations Administrator 1) to lead transformative operations and ensure our mission thrives.

Summary of Duties

As a Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Operations, you will:

  • Direct and oversee the daily operational activities of key shared services and central services offices.

  • Ensure operational excellence through the development and maintenance of holistic business operations systems, including structures, policies, and procedures, that support the needs of ODHS, its program, and the people and communities they serve.

  • Lead the proactive incorporation of modern business best practices into agency operations, identifying, introducing, and operationalizing new and emerging trends and systems from public and private sectors and based on research and latest findings.

  • Direct the development of the strategic long-range vision for the operation of central and shared administrative programs.

  • Direct the development and maintenance of continuous improvement systems for business functions, including robust customer input and feedback mechanisms, establishment of effective governance for identifying and prioritizing improvements, portfolio and project management to make improvements, and process and outcome measurement and reporting to determine and communicate program outcomes.

  • Ensure all COO managed offices have Service Level Agreements that accurately reflect modern business practices, support agency core business functions, align with service delivery, provide strong customer service and produce equitable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

  • Five years of management experience;

OR

  • two years of management experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Working Conditions

  • Your work will have a hybrid work format that includes office work and some work that can be conducted remotely. You will be required to come into the office __2_ days per week.

  • This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal direction on multiple tasks with detailed processes simultaneously, often within short time frames.

  • Sudden and immediate deadlines, occasional noisy environment, frequent interruptions, may require overtime during special projects, and during legislative sessions, may require infrequent overnight travel.
