What You’ll Do:
You’ll install, program, and fix high-tech security systems in state buildings around Portland. These include electronic access systems, video cameras, fire alarms, intercoms, ADA door openers, and more. You’ll make sure doors open when they should, alarms sound when needed, and video systems keep watch 24/7.
A Day in the Life:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair card readers, surveillance cameras, alarms, intercoms, and ADA-compliant door systems
Program systems for secure access, scheduling, and alerts
Review blueprints and ensure safety and code compliance
Coordinate with team members and contractors on new installations and repairs
Use remote tools and VPN to make urgent system updates
Maintain accurate documentation and digital records
Support special projects across DAS buildings in Portland

What We Are Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
A current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or other approved limited journeyman license (LEA, LEB) issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division AND Six (6) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems;
OR
A General Journeyman Electrician license AND six (6) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems.
Special Qualifications:
You are required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where you reside.
Desired Attributes:
Experience delivering outstanding customer service as well as the skills and ability to develop relationships with clients and co-workers to get the job done.
Demonstrated experience and ability to independently prioritize and organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
Experience working within a Computer Integrated Facilities Management System (CIFMS).
Ability to operate with a comprehensive understanding of, or learn within a short period of time, LENEL software and hardware, network video system software and hardware, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic knowledge of electronic theory and equipment, including computer based electronic access systems, CCTV, and other digital security equipment.
