The Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services has a vacancy. This position is located in the Operations section. Req. 219714

The Office of Technology Services aims to be a responsible partner in delivering innovative, effective, and reliable solutions that support and enhance the IT functions within Executive Branch Departments. The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State’s investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff.

This position independently operates production printing or advanced production mail equipment according to established procedures.

The Division of Administration is the state government’s management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
•Overseeing the state’s capital construction program
•Working to provide state and federal grants for community development
•Development of the state budget
•Providing technology services
•Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process as they seek goods and services
•Administering a program that provides federal funds to help Louisiana residents recover from a series of devastating hurricanes

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

-Independently operates advanced production mail equipment according to established procedures to produce and transport materials consistent with established standards for printed and mailed matter. Ensures compliance with procedures and standards through continuous quality assurance and reporting. Participates in efforts to improve operational outcomes by identifying and raising to management any deviation in production from established standards. Remains abreast of such standards and procedures.

-Collaborates with a team of agency personnel to operate advanced production mail handling equipment on a 24/7 basis. Operates simple or complex information technology equipment serving electronic or otherwise automated job tracking and audit logging functions, maintaining compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and operating agreements.

-Receives and provides instruction to other agency personnel as a team leader, independently operating a work cell consisting of one or more production printing or mail preparation machines, as assigned by a supervisor.

-Participates as directed in agency continuing education, training, and cross-training initiatives to continually improve personal and team performance outcomes

-All other duties assigned
