Join the Bureau of Community Preparedness as the executive office support for the Public Health Executive Director and play a vital role in keeping Louisiana prepared and resilient! In this dynamic position, you will provide administrative support to critical programs including Emergency Preparedness and Response, Bioterrorism, Pandemic Flu, and Community Outreach. You’ll work independently, coordinate daily operations, and help ensure the bureau runs smoothly making a direct impact on the state’s public health initiatives.

- Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
- Assist support staff, including WAEs and interns, and manage human resources activities, policies, and personnel oversight for the Bureau of Community Preparedness.
- Participate in developing Bureau goals, objectives, and systems, including job description updates, performance evaluation monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain department records, reports, organization charts, employee directories, calendars, and support new employee orientations and administrative meetings.
- Manage procurement and purchasing activities, including requisitions, supply and equipment orders, invoice review, payment processing, and vendor communications.
- Assist programs with budget preparation, review proposals, schedule meetings, and develop multi-year forecasts for expenditures and revenues.
- Serve as a resource for public health and emergency preparedness information, including correspondence, report preparation, and publication support.
- Collect and review program data, generate reports, ensure documentation is completed on time, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
