Minimum Qualifications
- Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
- Manages the LaCarte Program, which assumes responsibility for overseeing the program as one of its administrators for several state agencies, including DPS & C Public Safety Services, the Louisiana State Police Commission, the Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ), and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP). Supervises employees for the LaCarte transaction reviews required by policy
- Primary responsibilities include verifying, issuing, and managing 1,000 State Purchasing Cards for these agencies, while independently determining the necessity of issuing a LaCarte card. This role also involves the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for new cardholders and approvers, ensuring consistent compliance with the Division of Administration on an annual basis.
- The incumbent will manage all office supply orders and inventory, including tracking stock levels, placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery. This role also involves maintaining an organized inventory system to facilitate easy access to supplies and monitoring usage trends to anticipate future needs.
- The incumbent will lead all functions related to the reimbursement of travel expenditures, totaling approximately $1.2 million annually.
- The incumbent will manage the administration of the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program by supervising the employee responsible for collecting payments, managing violation issuance, certified mailing coordination (as mandated by statute), and subsequent payment processing for various platforms, including Point of Sale, Lock-Box, phone, and mail-in payments.
- Performs other related duties assigned.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
