About this Job

The mission of the Secretary of State's office is to serve the public by fulfilling its legal responsibilities of collecting, securing, and communicating information that enhances commerce, ensures the integrity of Louisiana's elections, and preserves, presents, and makes accessible government information essential to Louisiana's operations and its recorded history.
The Louisiana Secretary of State is seeking to fill a vacant Election Tech Supervisor position for District 12 by promoting a current permanent employee. District 12 includes the following parishes: Assumption, Lafourche, St. James & Terrebonne.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:

Certification on the AVC Advantage and the AVC Edge voting machines plus three years of experience or training in the maintenance, programming, and repair of electronic election equipment.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Storage, maintenance, inventory and placement of election machines and equipment.
  • Responsible for upkeep of warehouse and facilities.
  • Act as expert on Election Day for equipment repairs.
  • Supervise lower level employees.
