Port NOLA seeks an Administrative Program Manager 2 that will serve as the Records Manager. This role will actively provide records management subject matter expertise and cultivate a robust, customer-serve oriented records management program which adheres to Louisiana Records Law and industry standards and streamlines the efficiency of records processes across the organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated expertise in records and information management. They will have a comprehensive understanding of records lifecycle processes, including retention, disposition, and archival preservation, as well as experience implementing electronic content management systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply state and federal records management regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
  • Leads and oversees comprehensive records management operations — including record creation, maintenance, retention, and disposition — ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and alignment with the Port’s strategic goals.
  • Implements and manages enterprise electronic content management systems (Laserfiche) to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance accessibility and security of records across departments.

  • Serves as the Records Management Officer and Custodian of Records, liaising with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office and legal counsel to ensure proper handling of records requests, litigation holds, and archival preservation.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
