The Louisiana Department of Treasury has one vacancy in the State Bond Commission Division. This position serves as the assistant to the Assistant Director of the State Bond Commission and provides key administrative support to the division by managing correspondence, organizing documents, assisting with meetings, and helping process financial and legal records. The role works closely with staff, attorneys, and public officials to keep Commission operations running smoothly and accurately.

- Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas.
- Managing Projects: The ability to initiate, plan, execute, manage, and close-out all project goals within the established timeline.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
Provide administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director.
Review, route, and respond to incoming correspondence.
Prepare reports, letters, applications, and invoices.
Scan, index, and maintain electronic records and documents.
Coordinate with attorneys, officials, and the public to share or gather information.
Assist with preparing materials and records for State Bond Commission meetings.
Handle and track public records requests.
Perform data entry and update tracking spreadsheets and state systems.
Serve as backup support for the Administrative Assistant 6 when needed.
Maintain organized records, files, and reference materials.
Assist with walk-in, phone, and email inquiries.
Support safety and compliance documentation for the Commission.
Appointment Type: This vacancy may be filled as either a Probational or a Job Appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a Promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees); or by Detail to Special Duty or Classified Temporary Appointment. If filled as a probational appointment, this position requires the selected applicant to serve a minimum probationary period of twelve (12) months. Current permanent status classified employees may be required to accept a probational appointment in lieu of promotion if selected. If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a probational appointment should funding become available. Additional Vacancies may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of the closing date.
