Job Duties:

• Patrols public/private land and waters, including federal waters, using a variety of specialized equipment while enforcing laws, rules and regulations to protect and preserve the fish and wildlife resources and the citizens of the state. Provides public safety services on the waterways of the state. May be assigned to work and coordinate investigations in an undercover or covert capacity and may be required to infiltrate illegal activities involving fish and wildlife or other operations under the jurisdiction of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

• Serves as the Training Coordinator and arranges the Basic Training Academy and annual in service training. Designs and prepares training and instructional materials, teaching aids and devices for new hires and existing agents.

Location: The position will be domiciled in the Enforcement Division in East Baton Rouge Parish at Waddill.
