The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD)is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). We are currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Equipment Operator 2 to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure of our district. Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
- Uses various types of lawn equipment to keep the grass mowed.
- Be able to operate a side-by-side.
- Operates field tractors that may be equipped with attachments such as bush hogs, belly attachments, blades, hoes, loaders, etc.
- Some vehicle maintenance.
- Operates winch trucks, A frame trucks, aerial back lift trucks, pole trucks, and/or trailer.
- Makes minor repairs to equipment and performs user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: WAE (Work When Actually Employed) - Part-time working 25-30 hours per week. Not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm with the days of the weeke dependent upon the supervisor and the workload for the department.
