The Assistant provides executive-level support to Keep Louisiana Beautiful’s Executive Director for all areas of Keep Louisiana Beautiful including constituent services, special projects, key initiatives, fund development, community development, program management and administrative assistance. This position performs at a very high level in which duties are confidential and complex in nature.
The incumbent of this position uses independent judgement in handling all operational and administrative tasks as assigned by the KLB Executive Director.

Position Specific Details:
· The employee frequently lifts heavy objects (up to 20 lbs), climbs stairs, bends, and kneels.
· Must be able to drive a car with a valid driver’s license.
· Some overnight/weeknight/and weekend work is performed at meetings and conferences in the state.
· Monday-Friday in-person in the Mandeville office

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
· Assists the KLB Executive Director in day-to-day activities of the operations of Keep Louisiana Beautiful
· Prepares contracts and proposals related to assigned responsibilities
· Researches and gathers information on partnership opportunities
· Establishes relationships and communicates with the KLB affiliate network, government agencies, private industry, community leaders, stakeholders and elected officials on behalf of the KLB Executive Director
· Assists with various special projects, marketing initiatives and fund development
· Briefs and advises the KLB Executive Director on a comprehensive array of complex matters
· Advises and assists on the development and implementation of key initiatives in all areas of Keep Louisiana Beautiful
· Attends meetings, seminars, workshops, training and conferences as directed by the KLB Executive Director
· Supports the KLB Foundation initiatives as directed by the KLB Executive Director
· Supports the Lt. Governor and the Office of Lt. Governor in manners related to KLB
· Plans and manages daily schedule and meetings of the KLB Executive Director
· Assist the KLB Executive Director in preparing materials for speaking engagements, public events, special projects and fund development proposals.
· Prepares correspondence, confidential and sensitive documents for the KLB Executive Director
· Receives and reviews incoming mail, directs and drafts responses to letters, emails, phone calls, and request on behalf of the KLB Executive Director
· Files and retrieves documents, records and reports
· Coordinate travel arrangements and paperwork for the KLB Executive Director
· Assist with budget tracking and analysis
· Other duties as assigned by the KLB Executive Director.
