About this Job
- LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Mobile Equipment Operator 2.
Requires one full year of experience in mobile equipment operations.
Requires a valid Class “D” Chauffer’s license for state of residence, or ability to obtain within 90 calendar days of hiring date and maintain validity.
Knowledge of General motor vehicle and rolling equipment operations and maintenance techniques, methods, and procedures.
Starting rate of pay is 17.18 per hour with an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only. Rate of pay may be adjusted Dependent upon applicants’ qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:- properly and safely operate the following equipment: Bobcat tractor, passenger van, pickup truck, dump body truck, stake body truck, sweeper, power washer truckster, rental equipment and other equipment used in daily or for special purpose tasks
- picks up parts and materials from vendors;
- transports coworkers or other persons between-points on and/or off institution grounds
- building exterior clean-up
- tree maintenance
- intramural field maintenance
- assists other departments as assigned
- work orders

- This position does not require applicants to take a Civil Service test.
- Pre-employment Drug testing, Physical, and Criminal Background check are required.
- This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.
