Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Operates field tractors(over 52 Horsepower) with attachments such as bushhogs, belly attachments, blades, gang mowers, hoes, loaders, etc., used to maintain grounds, ditches, etc in the port area.

  • Cuts grass, weeds, trees, and brush

  • picks up and disposes of trash collected from port property and facilities

  • water ships at port facilities

  • operates forklifts and backhoes

  • make minor repairs to equipment and perform maintenance necessary to keep equipment clean and in good working order

Appointment Type: Probational

Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.


All individuals employed by the Greater BR Port Commission must have or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
