This Engineering Technician position serves as a construction inspector and office assistant for the Project Engineer's Office in Shreveport. It will be responsible for collecting and reporting pertinent construction data for compliance.

Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance will substitute for the high school diploma or GED.

Job Duties:
- Monitors construction signage for Departmental compliance.
- Inspects construction procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality assurance, and EEO requirements.
- Collect samples and take measurements for project records.
- Compiles data and format reports.
- Maintain document records for the office, and perform other clerical related duties as needed.

Career Progression: This position may be filled as an Engineering Technician 1,2,3, or 4.
Compensation:Engineering Technician 1 - The starting salary is $12.22/hourly with an additional $2.00 optional pay for every hour worked.
Engineering Technician 2 - Starting salary is $14.00/hourly with an additional $2.00 optional pay for every hour worked.
Engineering Technician 3 - Starting salary is $16.03/hourly with an additional $2.00 optional pay for every hour worked.
