- The Division of Administration/Louisiana Property Assistance Agency has a vacancy. This job title has an assigned pay grade of WS-210.
Louisiana Property Assistance Agency's (LPAA) truck drivers. laborers, contracted warehouse staff, and other warehouse workers may be regularly required to travel to locations located statewide to pick up surplus assets from state agencies that no longer need the property. The employees discussed above may be required to work longer than eight (8) hours per day, particularly when working in locations other than LPAA's Headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. LPAA's warehouses and most of the areas where surplus property is stored by other agencies, have unconditioned air environments that can also be dusty. Summers are hot and humid. Winters are cold and damp. LPAA staff loads and unloads items of varying weights and dimensions into/from box trucks, enclosed tractor-trailers, and stake-bodied trailers. Much work is manual even though our employees use forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks to assist their efforts. After loading and tagging surplus property, warehouse staff arranges and displays property to sell to qualifying entities. Once sold, LPAA staff assists customers with the loading of their acquisitions.
The Division of Administration is the state government’s management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:- Overseeing the state’s capital construction program
- Working to provide state and federal grants for community development
- Development of the state budget
- Providing technology services
- Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process as they seek goods and services
- Administering a program that provides federal funds to help Louisiana residents recover from a series of devastating hurricanes
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
-Operating box trucks, flat bed stake-bodied trucks, wrecker-type vehicles, cargo vans, and passenger automobiles.
-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. on a continuous basis
-Loading, unloading, tagging, and arranging property for sale or auction; assisting customers with loading their purchases.
-The MEO2 may be required to possess a valid Louisiana Class D Drivers' license and is required to be proficient with warehouse inventory computer systems.
-When necessary MEO2 employees can be scheduled as drivers on statewide runs. In those instances, MEO2 incumbents are required to perform functional supervision over the staff assigned to accompany them.
-MEO2 incumbents may regularly accompany MEO1/Heavy drivers on statewide runs to assist MEO1/Heavy drivers with labor required to load/unload trucks.
-MEO2 incumbents routinely work Monday through Friday, although may be assigned to routes requiring overnight trips.Position-Specific Details:
