$5,918 - $9,200 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

Duties Summary

Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The purpose of the position is to provide lifecycle grant management support to the Assistant State Laboratories Administrator and SLD staff with a focus on emerging contaminants grant activities. Activities include support and coordination of pre-and post-grant activities for the SLD and other departmental programs, grant compliance activities related to federal grant requirements, data collection and analysis, policies and procedures, maximization of grant funding, monitoring progress on accomplishing scope of work described in grant applications, and working to ensure program delivery aligns with grant funds and DOH strategic plan.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three and a half (3.5) years of progressively responsible professional program management, administrative or analytical experience involving locating, monitoring, evaluating, obtaining, and/or administering federal, state and/or private grants.

LICENSE: Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Hawaii is preferred. If no valid license to operate a motor vehicle is held, must be able to get to off-site locations to fulfill the functions of the job, as needed.
