Job Description and Duties

Key data Operators are permanent intermittent positions, working up to 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday based on operational needs during the tax season (February to June). Positions may be extended to work beyond tax season if the workloads permit.
Under the close supervision of the Tax Program Supervisor in the Information Capture and Banking section, the key Data Operator performs data entry on various workloads in a production environment
- Key, enter, and verify information from remittance/source documents following written/oral instructions
- Perform efficiently, meeting production and accuracy standards
- Offer keying procedure suggestions to clarify or improve work processing
- Inform your supervisor of procedure and/or document problems for resolutions
Appointment may become full-time.

Working Conditions
This position requires 4 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote work based on departmental guidelines and operational need.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Daily use of personal computer ranging from 6.5 to 7 hours per day
- Ability to move blocks of returns weighing between 5 - 20 lbs.
- Ability to transport carts of returns weighing between 45-135 lbs.
- Ability to bend, sit, stand and be mobile
- Ability to sit or stand at workstation for long periods of time
- Ability to complete tasks that require repetitive wrist, arm, shoulder actions
