Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the State Water Project Long-term Planning Officer, the position will lead the integration of climate change adaption and mitigation activities into the management of the State Water Project (SWP) and manage special planning studies and evaluations. The position will apply risk management concepts by evaluating climate change impacts to the safety, reliability, and resilience of the SWP, emergency preparedness, and asset management plans and processes.
This position is currently classified as a nonsupervisory.

Desirable Qualifications
Seeking candidates with working knowledge of current State Water Project policies and practices, especially as they relate to water and energy operations. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of climate science, hydrology, infrastructure operation and planning, and related State policies. Must have the ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing in the course of the work, and have leadership skills.
