Job Description and Duties

OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / PRAIRIE CITY STATE VEHICULAR RECREATION AREA

The reporting location for this position is the Prairie City Sector Office located in Rancho Cordova. This position will work under the direction of the Senior Park & Recreation Specialist.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a team environment and will coordinate and assist Sector and field staff on procurement rules and regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for the full range of technical and accounting duties associated with field operations, including daily analysis and review of the expenditure tracking, reconciliation, and encumbrance processes. The incumbent will work on special projects, maintain calendars for meeting and set up meetings. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access computer programs, and the ability to interact successfully with staff at all organizational levels.

This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

he Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.
