About this Role:
Under the general direction of the Research Data Supervisor I, the RDA II performs data mining, research and analysis to identify potential fraud, waste and abuse in the Medi-Cal program. The RDA II works independently as assigned and collaborates on projects as needed with clinicians, internal/external stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business partners to develop potential case leads for audit and/or investigation. The RDA II must possess excellent analytical skills, organization and time management skills, and oral and written communication skills to effectively present research findings to peers, clinicians, stakeholders, and upper management. All work products by the RDA II are expected to be thorough, accurate, complete, usable, understandable, and timely.

Telework Information
The position is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position. You must be regularly available and willing to work the hours necessary to meet business needs.
The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
