Job Description and Duties

The Department of Justice, Statewide Operational Services (SOS) Unit, is currently seeking well-rounded, friendly individuals to fill our Office Technician (Typing) position.
This position is in the Office of the Chief. Reporting directly to Supervisor II, the Operational Support Technician works independently and provides general office support to the SOS Units. The Operational Support Technician must exercise exemplary customer service, a high degree of initiative, independence, and confidentiality in performance of their duties which includes:
- Providing operational support to the various SOS programs (e.g., DOJ Property, Fleet, Records Management, Forms Management, Parking, Credentials, and Emergency Alert Services)
- Providing office support two times per week to a diverse group of clients and managers.
- Daily use of Microsoft Suite products; Smartsheet, and Adobe Acrobat to prepare various reports, documents and rosters.
- Maintaining databases in the Asset Management System (AMS) and external agency systems (e.g., DGS) for equipment survey entries and vehicle functions.
- Managing pool vehicle reservations and maintenance. Must have valid driver’s license.
- Scheduling meetings, conference rooms and proctoring interviews.

Working Conditions
This position offers a hybrid schedule, i.e. combined remote and in-office work schedules. In-office days are Wednesday and Thursday. Schedules are based on business needs and may be re-evaluated as Department needs change.

- This position is located in the Division of Administrative Services, Office of the Chief, Statewide Operational Services in Sacramento.
