Job Description and Duties
On a Permanent-Intermittent basis (3-4 days per week) the incumbent will be responsible for performing a wide range of secretarial and clerical functions for the Field Division. Incumbent is expected to set own work schedule to meet necessary deadlines and to work independently on routine matters. This is a Permanent-Intermittent position, with a maximum of 1500 hours of work per calendar year.

Desirable Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work in an office-setting as part of the Administrative Services Section. The Department of Water Resources (DWR) field division offices are 100% office-centric, and not eligible for the telework or hybrid options.
We are looking for someone who possesses background knowledge in the state’s current policies and procedures directly related to processing travel expense claims. We are looking for a candidate with work experience directly related to resolving payroll issues and knowledge of health, dental and vision benefits. This candidate must have the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, adhere to deadlines, strong organizational skills and possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to maintain regular, consistent, predictable in-office attendance, and exercise good judgement always. Strong writing skills and computer literacy are highly desirable.
