Job Description and Duties

        Are you looking to join an organization that truly cares about its employees, customers and the communities it serves? The Policy Service Center now has openings for Customer Care Advisors at the Workers' Compensation Insurance Technician level.

        State Fund is recruiting career-minded individuals for this position and is looking for candidates who will provide customer service and policy maintenance to policy holders, brokers, and the general public. Work is generated primarily through phone, email and chat interactions, and selected candidates will act as a lead resource on a variety of policy customer service inquiries.


        The ideal Candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:

        • Communicates professionally and effectively with a variety of customers both verbally and written
        • Adapts to change in the workplace
        • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
        • Proficient knowledge in underwriting principles, practices, and procedures
        • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
        • Ability to evaluate information and analyze data correctly to support and defend decisions and recommendations
        • Ability to work independently and as a team player
        • Ability to identify training opportunities and assist in training or coaching when required
        • Have the ability to design, develop, provide and monitor training and update procedures
        • Ability to travel when necessary
        • Consistent and predictable positive attendance


        This position may be filled at one of the following State Fund locations: Fresno, Glendale, and Vacaville.
